Coleirinho Ou Papa-Capim (Sporophila caerulescens) - Double-Collared Seedeater

Este registro é um tributo ao passarinho que muito me faz lembrar minha infância, quando era muito abundante em campos e pastagens. Hoje, ainda é alvo de colecionadores de pássaros em gaiolas, e sua ocorrência já não é tão frequente. Comemorei o encontro com este pequeno indivíduo livre na natureza. Dedico esta postagem ao meu filho, que também é admirador deste pássaro.

Águia Pescadora (Pandion haliaetus) - Osprey

No último domingo pela manhã (15/01/12), um dia nublado e com muito vento, eu estava observando um grupo de aves às margens da represa Barra Bonita, quando inesperadamente apareceu uma grande ave de rapina que, por alguns segundos, aparentou observar em voo, o mesmo grupo de aves que eu observava.

On Sunday morning (01.15.12), a cloudy and windy day, I was watching a group of birds on the banks of the Barra Bonita dam, when suddenly appeared a large bird (an eagle), for a few seconds, observing in flight, the same group of birds that I was watching .

Foi tudo rápido, e foi possível fazer apenas umas poucas fotos, pois a águia rapidamente se afastou. Não consegui boas fotos, porém servem para registro do evento.

Além de nunca antes haver observado um ave igual na região, me chamou a atenção o tamanho do animal. Consultando um guia sobre aves e o site www.wikiaves.com.br, pareceu-me tratar-se da Águia Pescadora (Pandion haliaetus), cuja envergadura pode chegar a 2,0 m. Uma ave grande sem dúvida. É originária da América do Norte, onde se reproduz, vindo para América do Sul durante o inverno no hemisfério norte. Sua ocorrência já foi registrada em vários estados do Brasil.

Pardal (Passer domesticus) – House Sparrow

Ruidoso, ousado e sociável. Numeroso e prolífero,  em áreas urbanas é o pássaro mais comum e conhecido. Seu nome, pardal, já foi apelido da nota de Cr$ 1,00 (Um cruzeiro), moeda anterior ao Real no Brasil, por não valer nada e haver muitas em circulação.

É possivel notar que, literalmente, fazem outro ninho dentro da casa do João de Barro. Recentemente, encontrei a seguinte cena, onde um filhote de pardal morreu precocemente na saída do ninho (motivo desconhecido), e não pude deixar de pensar sobre a transitoriedade da vida.

Fogo-apagou (Columbina squammata) - Scaled Dove

As penas desta pomba conferem-lhe uma aparência semelhante a escamas, muito bonita e peculiar. Na minha opinião é uma das nossas pombas mais bonitas.

A que aparece nas fotos fez o seu ninho no telhado da área de serviço, em uma casa de um sítio pertencente a um amigo meu, localizado no município de Piracicaba, SP., que foi o autor dos registros das imagens. Estando o sítio na macro região dos rios Piracicaba Tietê, faço aqui a inclusão da espécie na relação das aves que nela podem ser encontradas.

Agradeço muito ao meu amigo Claudimir pela lembrança e consideração.

The feathers of the dove shown on the pictures below, give it an appearance similar to scales as the name suggests, very beautiful and peculiar. In my opinion is one of our most beautiful doves. In portuguese the common name of this bird comes from the sound of their singing that corresponds to the traduction of "fire off" to portuguese.

 The dove in the photos made ​​her nest on the roof of the service area in a house located in a small farm of a good friend of mine, located in Piracicaba, SP., The author records and sent me the images.
