Saíra-Amarela (Tangara cayana) – Burnished-Buff Tanager

Consta na literatura especializada que o Saíra-amarela não costuma juntar-se a outras Saíras da mesma espécie, porém é comum avistá-las junto a Sanhaçus-cinzentos. Foi o que aconteceu neste caso.

A pitangueira (Eugenia uniflora), cheia de frutos maduros, atraiu muitos pássaros sendo que a maioria Sanhaçus-cinzentos, e esta Saíra-amarela estava junto com o bando de sanhaçus.

Muitas pessoas já perguntaram qual seria ou seriam as espécies vegetais que podem atrair pássaros? Com certeza podemos afirmar que a pitangueira (Eugenia uniflora) é uma espécie de árvore frutífera indicada para plantio de locais para onde se deseja atrair pássaros.
