Corrupião (Icterus jamacaii) – Campo Troupial

Pássaro bastante perseguido para ser comercializado como “ave de gaiola”, tanto pela exuberante coloração quanto pelo canto assobiado de longa duração.

Segundo mapa de ocorrência da Avibase (http://avibase.bsc-eoc.org) e a Lista de Aves do Estado de São Paulo do Centro de Estudos Ornitológicos - CEO (www.ceo.org.br) esta espécie não é nativa do estado de São Paulo sendo registrada naturalmente nos estados de Alagoas, Bahia, Ceará, Goiás, Maranhão, Mato Grosso, Minas Gerais, Pará, Paraíba, Pernambuco, Piauí, Rio Grande do Norte, Sergipe e Tocantins.

Entretanto, este pássaro foi fotografado em liberdade às margens da represa de Barra Bonita, no município de São Manoel, SP, e segundo especialista do CEO – Centro de Estudos Ornitológicos devem ser aves que de alguma forma saíram do cativeiro e estão vivendo em áreas diferentes da sua origem natural. Segundo o WikiAves (www.wikiaves.com.br – acesso em 28/02/2012) existem outros 3 registros desta ave no estado de São Paulo.

Sendo ou não uma ave natural de São Paulo, foi muito boa a experiência de poder observar e fotografar estas duas aves voando e procurando por alimentação livremente.
