Esta é uma fêmea de Pica-pau Anão Barrado (Picummus cirratus), fotografada em Piracicaba, SP, perto do rio Piracicaba. As fotos não estão muito boas, pois a objetiva utilizada no momento era a de 300mm, e o pássaro estava muito alto na copa da arvore sendo necessário fazer um recorte (crop) na foto original. A postagem está sendo feita para registrar a ocorrência na região. Se eu estiver correto na identificação, trata-se do menor pica-pau do Brasil.
This is a female of White-barred Piculet (Picummus cirratus), photographed in Piracicaba, near the Piracicaba river. The photos are not so good, as the lens used at the time was the 300mm, and the bird was too high in the canopy of the tree being necessary to make a crop in the original photo. The post is being made to record the occurrence in the region. If I am correct in identifying, it is the smallest woodpecker in Brazil.
