Esta espécie já foi relatada anteriormente aqui no blog, porém consegui algumas fotos onde é possível distinguir melhor a sua plumagem. Este ave tem sua área de reprodução na região entre a floresta boreal e a tundra, no Ártico canadense e Alasca. No período do outono/inverno migra para a América do Sul em busca de alimentação mais farta, chegando ao brasil a partir do final de agosto e início de setembro.
Quando chega ainda apresenta a sua plumagem de reprodução que vai mudando pouco a pouco. Alimenta-se de larvas de insetos e invertebrados aquáticos.
This species has been previously reported here on the blog, but I got some pictures where it is possible to better distinguish their plumage. This bird has its reprodustion ground in the region between the boreal forest and tundra in the Canadian Arctic and Alaska. In the autumn / winter migrates to South America in search of more plentiful food, coming to Brazil from late August and early September.
When it migrates still has its reproduction plumage that here goes changing little by little. It feeds insect larvae and aquatic invertebrates.
